Volunteer Position Description

Responsibilities include overseeing pool operations, schedule and lead meetings, resolve incidents, the effective management of all pool operations and all matters pertaining to the health and safety of membership. The president oversees the board of directors and their work. The outgoing president is available to the incoming president for counsel and support as needed.

Examples of Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct board meetings, held about eight months in a year, as well as the Annual Membership Meeting and the accountant meeting.
• Review and oversee the financial reports produced by the Treasurer.
• Report to the general pool population the financial condition of the swim club in partnership with the Communications Chair.
• Oversee and review the operations of the pool in partnership with the Pool Manager, Pool Management Company, and Board of Directors.
• Work with the membership committee to gain and maintain enough members to operate the pool in partnership with the Membership Chair.
• Review with the Board of Directors all relevant pool matters and help to maintain an accurate website to disseminate information with the Communications Chair.
• Communicate regularly with the Pool manager and guards.
• Follow up with individual members when policies or rules are broken.
• Ensure the pool opens on time and maintenance.
