Volunteer Position Description

The Event Chair is responsible for organizing and planning pool events for the year. The pool board provides a small budget to implement events, which are aimed at membership bonding, entertainment, and/or fundraising. The chair attends all Board meetings.

The events chair has the freedom to create the event schedule and propose it to the board for approval. Examples of past events are:

• Bondowners Bash
• WOODbridgeSTOCK music festival
• Family game day
• Adult Night
• End of summer luau

The events chair launches initial planning and then recruits volunteers, who are either board members or pool members, to help execute and run events. It is recommended to find and involve people beyond the board to serve as volunteers. Also to be explored are events during the off-season (imagine a fall bonfire partnered with a pool cleanup).
